Explora Journeys: prices and destinations

The Explora Journeys name is inspired by a passion for exploration and discovery, coupled with a respect for the world's seas and oceans. An idea that is also reflected in the logo, which leads back to the curves and movement of the sea and the waves. An integral element of the brand is the mandala, designed by Alexa Aponte-Vago, CFO of the MSC Group, daughter of the founder Gianluigi Aponte and wife of the president Pierfrancesco Vago. The mandala has deep roots in spirituality and represents a journey of self-discovery and fulfilment. The lotus flower symbolizes purity of body, speech and mind; the nod to the lily shows humility and a connection to European heritage.

On board Explora I

Designed in collaboration with globally recognized luxury hospitality and superyacht designers, Explora I features 461 oceanfront suites, penthouses and residences, considered true beach houses, spacious and comfortable. The suites start from a size of 35 square meters, with an average size of 42 square meters and can even reach 280 square meters. Floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces will allow guests to enjoy expansive views of the sea, harbors and bring them closer to the ocean itself. Unmatched space and privacy on the vessel, which spans 14 decks (those outside hope the 2,500 square meters of sea views). Outside, there are also 64 private cabins and 3 swimming pools. Numerous hot tubs are positioned along the promenade. A fourth pool, featuring a retractable glass roof, will allow for swimming and poolside relaxation whatever the weather. Onboard services are even more personalized, with a guest-to-crew ratio of 1.25:1.

The all-inclusive experience

With Explora Journeys, cruises offer an all-inclusive experience. Trips include: welcome bottle of champagne in the suite and bottle of liquor of guests' choice upon arrival; service from the hospitality expert team; sophisticated and varied dining in nine restaurants; in-suite meals; unlimited beverages, premium wines and spirits, specialty coffees, teas, and soft drinks available anytime, including in-suite minibar; access to the spa area; wellness and fitness programs on board and in destinations; all gratuities on board; unlimited, high-speed wifi throughout the ship; shuttle services from the port to the city center (when required/available); additional services for those staying in penthouses and residences.

The catering

There are nine on-board restaurants on Explora I, with flexible meal times. Nine culinary experiences (in addition to in-suite dining) to discover; each different, but all designed to celebrate global culinary talents and wholesome ingredients sourced from local partners. In a cosmopolitan atmosphere, you can range from pan-Asian, to steakhouse, to Mediterranean and international style; dine by the pool or trust the chef with private dining room and cooking school. As well as entertaining in the various indoor and outdoor lounges.

Wellness, fitness and excursions by Explora Journeys

From indoor and outdoor spa treatment rooms to state-of-the-art fitness equipment, from group training classes to personal training appointments, Explora Journeys tailors programs for each guest to deliver a holistic experience. Explora Early Booking Benefit introduces significant advantages for those who book in advance, with discounts of up to 10% on the trip. Explora Journeys: we start in 2023

Explora Journeys is the new luxury travel brand launched by the MSC Group with the ambition to redefine the luxury cruise category. MSC's Explora Journeys concept of refined luxury starts from the idea of ​​travel - rather than cruises - and is relaxed, cosmopolitan and vibrant, taking you to places off the beaten track and creating a real beach house on board. For discerning travellers, Explora Journeys cruises aim to restore the essential balance of life by creating a combination of discovery, well-being and nature. An emotional connection between oneself, people and places around called the Ocean State of Mind. The journey of Explora Journeys begins in May 2023, when Explora I, the first of the four ships in the fleet built by Fincantieri, will enter service. Delivery of the next three vessels is scheduled for 2024, 2025 and 2026.
