First cruise on board Norwegian, after many cruises with Italian and American cruise lines. A very pleasant surprise: high-quality dining, Premium service, complete freedom on board with no fixed schedules or mandatory activities, and a well-maintained, exceptionally clean ship. These elements made this cruise experience truly unforgettable, placing Norwegian among the top cruise lines.
NCL is synonymous with freedom at sea: no fixed schedules, no compulsory activities, and no stress of any kind—just pure relaxation, well-being, and excellent cuisine on board. Human-sized ships, ranging from smaller vessels such as Jewel and Gem to the larger Breakaway-class ships. Both adults and children will always find something to do, whether they are seeking relaxation or adrenaline-filled activities. Dining is certainly another key strength of NCL: a wide selection of dishes at the buffet, the freedom to choose both restaurant and dining time, with no fixed sittings or assigned tables, and snacks available at any time thanks to the pub that is always open (and included in the fare). The quality and variety of the food are excellent. Among both Italian and American cruise lines, NCL is my favorite.

I don't like that the Italian language is unknown, it's not easy to communicate with the staff who only speak English, in fact the important announcements also, those who don't know English don't understand them, the same goes for the daily programs. The food is repetitive, and there is very little Italian food, practically also few cheeses and cold cuts. Another thing is that the €100 credit for the skipped stop in Naples we were forced to spend it on the ship. And I didn't like that babies are allowed into the disco. The cleanliness is excellent. If we hadn't had knowledge of the Spanish language and there was very little staff who spoke it, we would not have been able to communicate for our every need. For the rest of the cruise we were quite satisfied.
