With a wink at its little guests, Royal Caribbean offers Splashaway Bay on board its ships, a colorful area complete with waterslides, hydro cannons, fountains, swimming pools and a self-tipping bucket: the most loved attraction. The Carnival Cruise Line fleet also hosts a vast outdoor area dedicated to children's entertainment with the Dr. Seuss water park with slides and games accessible from an early age.

The experience of families on board cruise ships clearly also embraces the catering sector with menus specifically designed to meet the tastes of children and teenagers from all over the world available at the main restaurants or, as in case of Costa ships, with Family Restaurants designed to meet the needs of families open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Last but not least are the excursions, accessible to younger guests often at reduced prices or even free.
