What to see on the Cabo Verde Islands?
Cabo Verde is an archipelago of islands located off the coast of Senegal. The main tourist destinations are the islands of Boa Vista, Sal, Sao Vicente. However, this does not mean that your visit has to be limited to these three islands. In Santo Antão, just to cite an example, you can move to infinity on the endless paths that make up what is the second largest island in the whole archipelago, a real paradise for lovers of trekking an outdoor activities.
On the island of Boa Vista, you can instead admire wild beaches lashed by the wind. It is not surprisingly the favorite destination for surfing enthusiasts. Furthermore, Boa Vista hosts one of the main attractions of the whole archipelago, the famous wreck of the ship called Cabo Santa Maria, victim of a shipwreck in the late sixties of the last century. To see the wreck you have to move to the beach of Atalanta.
The island of Sal is perhaps the best known by tourists along with Boa Vista. As soon as you see its golden beaches and its transparent sea you will understand why. From the point of view of the receptive structures, in relation to the evening activities, Sal offers the best night life compared to all the other islands that make up the archipelago of Cape Verde. The most beautiful beaches are Pedra do Lume and Santa Maria, with the first characterized by the presence of a crater belonging to an ancient volcano.
Besides, you can also visit the bay of Mindelo which is on the island of São Vicente. The territory that rises around the bay is also called the Cabo Verde Riviera, with many colonial buildings scattered among cobbled streets. A little curiosity: in São Vicente the Mardi Gras is celebrated in February, which is nothing but the revisitation of the inhabitants of Cabo Verde of the Brazilian carnival.

The best time for cruises to the Cabo Verde Islands is from November to July, when the temperatures are pleasant and the humidity is almost completely absent. Precipitation is almost nil, except in the months of August, September and October when there is an average of just over 30mm of rain in thirty days. The maximum temperature on average fluctuates between 22 degrees in February and 27 in July. The two best months for a cruise to the Cabo Verde Islands are June and July, with maximum temperatures between 26 and 27 degrees, danger of rain absent and pleasant sea temperature, around 24 degrees.
