Auckland
Auckland is the biggest city in New Zealand, which is located on the North Island. It got its start in 1840 and was named after George Eden, he was the first Earl of Auckland. Before Europeans showed up, the area was home to the Māori, New Zealand’s indigenous people. Key historical spots like Mount Eden and Maungakiekie are still super important to the Māori. The Māori have a bunch of myths and legends about Auckland. One such myth tells of a giant lizard, Taniwha, who supposedly lives in the Hauraki Gulf waters.
These tales are passed down through the generations and are a vital part of the local culture. Back in the 19th century, Auckland was a major port and trading center, which helped it grow fast. In 1865, the capital of New Zealand was moved to Wellington, but Auckland kept booming thanks to its strategic location and industrial potential. It’s called the "City of Sails'' because there are so many yachts in the Hauraki Gulf. Auckland has a bunch of museums and art galleries, like the Auckland Museum and the Auckland Art Gallery.
The city’s surrounded by gorgeous beaches, volcanic hills and dense forests. There are also several nature reserves and national parks nearby. Auckland’s cuisine is super diverse, reflecting its multicultural vibe. You’ll find restaurants serving Asian, European, Polynesian and Māori dishes. Meat and veggies are cooked in underground pits with hot stones, giving them a unique smoky flavor. Auckland is a major cruise hub for cruise tourism in the Pacific. The Port of Auckland sees a bunch of cruise ships heading out to the Pacific Islands, New Zealand’s coast and Australia. Popular cruise destinations include Vanuatu, Fiji and New Caledonia.

Many still think of Athens as an ancient city that thrived two and a half thousand years ago. Its symbol is the mighty Acropolis, which dominates almost every view and the itinerary of every visitor, and it is crowned by the iconic Parthenon, which rises above the city, overlooking the sprawling and evolving modern metropolis.

Its symbol is the mighty Acropolis, which dominates almost every view and the itinerary of every visitor, and it is crowned by the iconic Parthenon, which rises above the city, overlooking the sprawling and evolving modern metropolis.
Perhaps the most significant change is in the historical centre, which is almost unrecognisable since cars have been banned. This has liberated the area with the most significant archaeological sites, creating the longest, and undoubtedly one of the most splendid, pedestrianised zones in Europe. This huge archaeological park has brought past and present together, returning the cultural and social life of the city to the area around the ancient monuments and surrounding neighbourhoods.
Athens remains a city of contradictions; it is both frustrating and seductive. It is the oldest city in Europe, yet still in a state of transition. It is one of the safest and most vibrant European cities - an intoxicating mix of grunge and grace with an undeniably urban soul.

Chioggia
Located in the province of Venice, its population of just more than 51,000 inhabitants and recently declared as the city of Venezian art. This locality is surrounded by the sea and lively canals is considered a small Venice. A beautiful historic city with charming beaches, Chioggia is a real jewel of the Venice lagoon.
While you are strolling through the narrow streets, you will admire the charm and beauty that the city offers: Venetian-style buildings overlooking the canals, typical imbarkation with particular colorful sails, churches, museums and monuments. It almost seems as if you are coming back in time, at the time of the Doges of Venice.
One of the features of Chioggia is the presence of the University of Padua's marine biology studies and the Museum of Adriatic Zoology. On the island you can also find numerous monuments, such as the church of Sant'Andrea, built in 18th century, and Roman tower (also known as ancient clock tower), about 30 metres high, designed by Giovanni Dondi. Ponte Vigo, built in 1685, is different from the others because of its suggestive dimension. At the end of Venenzian lagoon lies the historic centre.
The museum of San Francisco, located in the homonimous church, hosts old files that reveal the historical passages of the island, documenting the historical, environmental and social development of the area.
Chioggia is a coastal island in northern Italy in the province of Venice. An original city, its narrow streets, all perpendicular to the piazza, suggest a fish-bone shape. For this peculiarity it is given the nickname 'Little Venice'.
Its main economic source is fishing. Other important economic resources are tourism and the production of roses and radicchio.

Livorno
Discover all Cruises that depart from Livorno. We have Last Minute cruises and departures on offer from Livorno to discover the treasures of the Mediterranean on board the most beautiful ships of the Best Companies, discover them all and do not forget to visit this fascinating port city in Tuscany before your cruise. In 1571 Cosimo Grand Duke of Tuscany asked his architects to transform a small port at the mouth of the Arno River into an ideal Renaissance city: that is the history of Livorno!
Then, the status of Free Port was given to the city and thanks to this, the city was considered as a thriving international trading center. Livorno today is a modern port city renowned for its industrial activity, both chemical and metallurgical. Its port, along with those of Genoa and Naples, is one of the most important in Italy. Livorno stretches out over the Ligurian Sea across very long beaches of fine sand, and its cuisine reflects this union with the sea.
Its most famous and traditional dishes are seafood dishes such as Caciucco or Triglie alla Livornese. Beyond its port, Livorno is a wonderful city where you can also enjoy typical products such as castagnaccio, chickpea flour cakes or vegetable and legume soups or the typical Panzanella. The relationship with the sea and the marine environment is also found in the Livorno Aquarium, located inside the Terrazza Mascagni. We recommend walking on this particular street facing the sea, all in black and white squares that offer surprising geometries that will make all lovers of photography fall in love.
Many companies choose to embark and disembark passengers in the Port of Livorno, and even more make stops in this city, which is often a starting point for visiting nearby Florence. Florence is about 90Km from Livorno and it is one of Italy's most beautiful cities of art. Museums, sculptures, historic buildings make this city the artistic center of Tuscany. Do not miss a walk on the famous Ponte Vecchio over the Arno River or a visit to the Basilica of Santa Croce.

Bordeaux has a liveable city centre that can be visited by foot and that offers beautiful attractions and energy. At night, the city get crowded with young people filling up the main squares and the bars where you can taste excellent wines and plunge in the romantic atmosphere that the city assumes after the sunset. You can’t miss out Château de la Brède, a gothic style castle dated back to XIV Century, surrounded by a moat and an English garden. The philosopher Montesquieu lived here and tourists can visit his library and his bedroom that are just like they were in XIX Century.
We suggest to visit also the beautiful Saint Eloi Church. Established in XII Century, the construction and renovation works lasted until 1400’s. The current structure is dated back to this period. The church is one of the stop-overs of Santiago de Compostela walking tour and is part of UNESCO World Heritage. Bordeaux offers a wide variety of gastronomic and wine choices. Honfleur
Honfleur is a French city situated in the low Normandy. In the past, the city has been Norman, English and French property and had an economic boom at the end of the Hundred Years’ War. In the XVII Century, the city became rich thanks to the commercial relationships with Canad, Antilles, Africa and Azores and became one of the main ports for the slave trade.
One of the most characteristic aspects of the city are the houses fronting onto the Seine, so that it feels like you’re looking at an Impressionist painting. It is not a case that great artists, such as Monet, Courbet and Boudin, chose Honfleur as the place where to find inspiration for their artistic production.
The cultural and architectural heritage includes churches and museums, such as the Musée de Vieux Honfleur, where ventures of local travellers are collected, or the Eugène Boudin Museum, where you can find paintings by local artists dated back to XIX and XX Centuries.
Honfleur is a liveable city and, in its alleys and cobblestone streets, holds a one-of-a-kind allure.
